Being Me

 

I took revenge,  

When you betrayed me. 

But as soon as I did that

I saw my guilt, being me.

I avenged my dignity,

When you attacked me.

But when I drew back,

I saw my fear, being me.

I set you back,

When you threw anguish at me,

But when I saw you evading,

I saw my strength being me.

Finally I hurt you on the inside,

When you didn't love me.

But when I saw you crying,

I saw my real self, being me......
