The Raid

It was a cold night at the camp site. Jim had eaten dinner, which consisted of raisins, nuts and other rations. Their home town, Seore, was dead. Jim's brother, Fred, was left behind. He never came back, and Jim thought he was dead. His father had sent out to look for him, but he did not come back yet. Jim missed his father, and now only him and his mother, along with other people of Seore, stayed at the campsite. Jim had sustained a deep cut on his left leg, and if it weren't for his bandage tied up by his mother, would have been infected and gotten worse. His mother got very sick after a few days at the campsite. She got high-fever, and due to the low supplies and the harsh environment, got worse by the day. He had a few books which he used to pass his time, among them, one was his favourite. It was about a fictional species called Raveins. He loved that book, and other kids in the campsite would try to steal it.

After a week of his father leaving, Jim's mother got fataly sick. Her fever got significantly worse, and it was thought that she would be dead. Jim tried his best to take care of his mother, but he did all he could, and that was not enough. His mother died a few days later. What's worse is that nobody cared, they were all busy saving there own families. Jim was alone, but after some time he was taken in by another family in the campsite. They felt pity for him.

After a month or two after his mothers death, the location of the campsite had been revealed. Somebody had betrayed them. Soldiers surrounded the campsite, and shot anyone who tried to get away. Jim, along with some other people, hid under a table in the campsite. After an hour, the soldiers started to enter the campsite. They looted everything, and mercilessly murdered anyone that was found. After they left, they emerged from there hiding places. The people that were alive had hidden some food and water with them, so that they can survive. They, along with Jim, left the campsite and started wandering about, looking for a place to stay.

They set up camp near a small pond of fresh water, lined with trees and grass. They were dangerously close to a guard post, and they were unaware of that. But they were well hidden in the trees, so the threat level was not that high. at night Jim helped the people gather resources to light a campfire. Every night, one person from the group would go out to hunt animals for food. But one night, The soldiers got information about there location, and they were all taken as prisoner.

Life in prison was hard. A little kid died of disease and harsh treatment, an old man died of exhaustion, and the strong people of the group were worked to death. There was a free period when they were taken to the sports field and made to exercise, while guards strictly watched them. Jim, and a few other kids, planned an escape.

There were 5 air vents that circulated air around the prison. There were three exits, two of them require a key and the other one was heavily guarded. There were metal detectors in all of the exits, but guards can enter without having to go through them. the kids had been making the necessary materials. One person made a kind of putty from liquid rubber and plastic so that a mould of the key could be formed. The other kids put molten plastic, which was melted in a stove in there cell, in a tiny steel bowl, and shut the lid. they made weapons from broken fences and metal bars. the plan was to ask the guards for permission to go to the bathroom, which was a less guarded area. Then they will set up the materials. After that they would secretly beat up a guard with there weapons, and take his key. They would then form a mould of the keys using putty and molten plastic, because if they would have taken the actual key there the metal detectors would have detected them and the arms would go off. After they had formed a a copy of the key they would go to the exits, stealthily beat up the guards  until they are unconscious, and then escape.

They put the plan to action. Free period was coming, and they were ready. They hid there weapons and materials, and went to the sports field. They, along with other inmates of the prison, were instructed to exercise. The kids went to the guards one by one to ask permission, because if they went all together, it would seem suspicious. Once they all went, they waited for a guard to come. Once a guard had come, they beat him to unconsciousness. they took out the key from his pocket. They formed a copy made of plastic. But by this time, a guard had spotted them. All of them were promptly captured.

They were all made to kneel down in a row. Jim was terrified. He was hoping for some kind of miracle to happen. They all were. There hands were tied to there backs, and they were shot, one by one. After three children, Jim was next. when it became Jim's turn, Jim closed his eyes and hoped for the best. But that didn't work. The trigger was pulled, and the shot went through his head, and edited through his left eye. The 50 Cal shot made a huge mess. Blood and brains were scattered everywhere. Even the soldiers, who shot the children, who seem to be ruthless and cold hearted, had nightmares that they didn't want to talk about. The rest of the children were shot, and the mess grew bigger. It was not long until all the children were dead.

The rest of the people from the campsite were killed off eventually, and the last of the inhabitants of Seore, were eliminated....
