The Train

Whenever I need to go somewhere far.
In the heavy rain.
I bless my luck and smile out wide,
For then I use the train!

Sometimes I just stare at it,
Thinking how it can take someone's life
Slicing people wide open,
As easily as a knife!

It's no wonder it's so fast,
It blows away everything by it's side,
But it can't go wherever you want.
Cause the railways act as it's guide!

Even though it has so many adventurous ways,
It never gives the people much pain
The people live happily with it.
So that my friends, is the humble train

The Tiger

The throne keeper of the forest
The best prowler of the rest
The preeminent carnivore of the jungle
The concrete calculator between the bungle.

Nose kept sharp, ears wide open
No one shall escape its mystical powers
Its amber gleaming felonious eyes' prowess
Revealing pure vileness and corruption

The hunter of the jungle
The man eater of the jungle
The wilderness grunt in terror
When judged by the dictator

Body sleek, wearing golden coat
With black stripes to complete its overcoat
Dappled face with black spots
As he searches for feasts on spots

Tail swaying, as it's in contemplation
Lacerating with its completed claws
In harmony for the wait
The wait to stop to lacerate
As the silky blood oozes down its throat
And satisfied with meat, on he trots.

Deadly Confrontration - Henry Face To Face With The Creature

Every single tree looked identical to the rest. As Henry, ran through the jungle, thumping his way on the damp soil. He seemed to arrive at the same place, no matter how much he kept on severing his different paths. His pace retarded into totters, he lost falter as he hopelessly wandered around the evergreen forest. His feet were burning him to the bones, his feet were no longer one with his mindset as they betrayed him. He had always come to love the nature. It was the thing that he loved, made him to suffer at the moment.

He was definitely doomed, he was lost. Completely lost in this complex vast ecosystem.

'ANYONE?! ANYONE OUT THER-!' His other responsible half stopped him short. For heaven's sake! What the hell was I pulling up? He scanned the horizon for any sign of any alarmed carnivorous attacker. He was able to convince himself, the reason to keep a low profile. He had already seen for around thousand times in movies and educational programs, that noxious carnivores, lay their eyes and ears open for fresh meat in thick jungles like this one. Among them the tiger was the most unpleasant beast.

The evergreen trees towered the soil, blocking the sunlight to enter. Birds were chirping away on the thin thick twisted branches , bearing a few leaves. The trees' body were quite cracked and clawed from the animals' presence and they also reeked of age. A few mongooses ran to a hole near the huge buttress roots of the forest's buildings. The jays were screeching away.

A few low leveled trees with distorted trunks, and a few thin weak branches, were by the corners of the jungle. Mushrooms grew under the shade of the skyscrapers. Henry was dazed by the opulence of the jungle. A few wild flowers dancing with euphony, were pulpy and suede. The wind deadened through the glades of the forest, the gentle grass dancing in union.

Henry couldn't think of anything, just what you would expect from a 12 old year boy. He just kept on panting, while his other half stayed alert. He had no tools with him to create a safety for the time being. He was totally bared from tools or extra type of materials.

                                                                 *****************

Night was dawning on him so was cold, the light faded long ago allowing the darkness to come to life as shadows took place on the soil. The leaves and the patches of grass glimmered in the darkness as Henry sat, supported by a tree. Bitter wailing wind flew between his dark wavy hair while piercing his skin, only but making him feel the chill of darkness. Animals seemed to have come to life as keen eyes looked through the  holes of the tree trunks. The spectral mist coiled around the skyscrapers' top , filtering the golden moonlight which happened to tend to drive the dancing shadows away. The stars looked like glittering asters preventing darkness from wrapping the sky.

Ruffling noise of alive feet resounded through the vast trees and leaves of the soul-enriching jungle, alarming Henry every few seconds. He survived the daytime hunting a few fruit bearing trees, with his bare hands by griming them to coal along with his blue fabric jeans. He also manage to come across some windfall apples, which tasted sweet as honey perking Henry. He somehow managed to spark a fire with the help of a few fallen branches. The fire in front of him crackled keeping the air alive with more sound.

He had walked on a few kilometers from his initial place during the light. He was looking for any exit for the moment as he wasn't much experienced in this 'survival stuff'. His tired eyes told him it was probably bedtime. But the crunching sounds of silhouettes of ghosts kept him alive from dozing off. The air around him was woody and smelt of peppermint and animal droppings.

Suddenly from darkness, over the blazing fire, a silent black silhouette leaped, right a few centimeters above Henry's head. Henry alarmed, along with his reflex, rolled himself over from his sitting position and jumped by using his hands as a springer on the ground, over the flames half somersaulting and half flying in the midair. The wind seemed to stop it's running track, as if it was watching a drama scene. Henry landed on the damp ground almost sliding, causing his right leg to limp in pain. His muscles ached from the sudden reflex action. The creature marked his claw on the tree's trunk, killing through Henry's aura only. The creature finally faced back to Henry, mad at his unexpected failure. The two were now just face to face, the fire blocking their path. The light finally gave out the creature's mysterious identity to being the renowned Tiger.

The creature's body little feral, elegant, glossy and sleek with powerful muscles pounding beats on the padded leg, which served as its powerhouse as well as making slinking movements with balletic grace. The muscles and ligaments were so well developed that it allowed him to pounce about 32 feet across. The undeniable, beautiful, graceful tiger wore a rich auburn gold coat with intense black stripes which ran across its width. The transverse black stripes followed to the tail from its head.

It's underside looked quite grayish to white, similar to the spot on the rear of its ears which served as false eyes. The golden coat allowed him to keep his pride and made him look the most indomitably courageous compared to the ghostly trees and the glimmering eyes from the tree trunks. The aura of failure an phantasmic lingered on near the tiger, as he smelled with his round quite convex pink like nose while his sharp thin white whiskers moved up and down on the convex, lumpy and dappled head.

It's glowing, feline, amber, chatoyant and smouldering eyes examined his prey whole as he reached his apex on having his feast, calculating the angles like a high school student in contemplation. Its retractile claws dug deep in its alluvium war land. There was a sepulchral silence in the jungle as everything stopped their activities to see the act of death.

Henry stood in place, frozen with horror, glued to the soil, marking his grave as he saw the pitiless and remorseless creature leap in dramatic air with coiled and reserved energy for the second time over the blazing wild flames, lightening its golden coat with respect.

Henry flowed down tears from his corners of his susceptible eyes, which felt lukewarm against his dry skin as the tiger pounced on him, pinning him to the ground. A husky grunt is all he could release from his lips as the tiger releasing its savage personality, lacerating flesh away from Henry's chest, revealing skully ribcage and the dragging beats of the heart.

Henry was already dead when the tiger opened his mouth to release vamparish carnivore teeth, which dug deep into Henry's throat. Fountains of oozy silky blood, which filled the creature's mouth with everlasting complacency and sweet harmony. The tiger swallowed more human flesh enjoying his feast as if he was in heaven, shadows dancing here and there on his prideful coat. His eyes gleaming with excitement beyond explanations. The chilly wind stopped to pay a respect to the tiger as if he became the lord of the jungle.

The tiger finally with his head held high left the bloody dismembered mess of Henry on the feast table to rest in the middle of nowhere, and prowled into the jungle in his festive mood to have another pleasant dinner, yet without any much complexity and fuss. The lustrous asters lighting its path and banishing all the despair and gloominess fostered by the eerie darkness as the shaggy heads of the distorted trees filtered, allowing sparks of light the remote incandescent luminous bodies emitted.

Claws Of Horror

Running around, John suddenly realized that he was completely lost in a huge, baleful deathtrap called the forest. He struggled to find food, shelter and tried to use the best of his knowledge to survive another day. John tried to remain as discreet as possible, in order to repel any unwelcome guests. For if he ,by any chance, comes in range with the king of the forest, he knows that his only weapon is a kitchen knife. He picked a place to build a temporary home quite higher than the canopy. It was no problem for him to get somewhere that because he was an awesome climber. He made his home invulnerable from ground attacks. It was made out of medium sized logs, he got from the ground. His only aim now was to get to the top of the hill, from there he could use the flare sticks he had ,to send an SOS signal.
The forest had a dangerous ecosystem. The environment was just as dangerous as the animals that lived there. The carnivores had different hunting tactics of their own. The forest got more and more dangerous by the hour. The chance of survival without water wasn't low in this forest as there were enough fruit trees here, but guarded by the ferocious monkeys who formed groups to help protect different parts of the canopy.
By the last hour he was awake in the "first day", he had made some good weapons ,using his knife ,just enough to hold off the lightest of beasts in the forest. His first weapon was a long, pointed, wooden stake. His second weapon was a coconut shell filled with liquid glue from it's tree. He planned to throw this shell towards the animal so that it would feel irritation and leave him immediately. And his third weapon was his knife itself.
John passed this night with almost no sleep. It wasn't like he was uncomfortable or anything.....he was scared. Scared of the silence.
In the next day as soon as he saw sunlight, John got up from his bed and started his journey towards the hill with all his weapons at the ready. He regretted his negligence to gym class, otherwise he would have been much much stronger against the competition he was in now. His head was aching, skin was dry and he was feeling extremely dizzy. He took many short breaks in order to get back to his senses. He now knew that he was suffering from dehydration. The lack of sleep hindered his journey greatly but he had no interest in delaying his journey in something he thought of as so stupid as sleep. He continued on his journey avoiding the fact that his body started to betray him in all the ways possible. After travelling about 30 minutes in extreme pain, he suddenly fell to the ground, unconscious of where he was. He tried his best to get up but he just couldn't do it. He fell asleep.

After about 6 hours, John opened his eyes feeling much refreshed now but also shocked about the fact that he didn't yet prepare a proper shelter now in the dark. It would cost him almost an hour now to make a spot for the night. He knew that he would only be killed by the monkeys if he went near the fruit trees to get food. He had only one option now: Stay awake the whole night.
He slowly and prudently proceeded forwards, gripping his stake(which he now lit fire on) on one hand and the pot of glue on the other,  toward the hill which was about 4 kilometers away from him. His legs were shivering from the horror. He had lost all his hope.

Suddenly John was attracted by the sound of rustling dry leaves which were obviously being stepped on, as far as he could deduce. He crouched, still scanning the landscape all around him. He stood up and continued walking again.

Again he was alarmed by the same commotion he had experienced a moment ago. This time he stopped and payed more concentration towards the sound. Suddenly the sound grew harder and came closer until John saw a huge mammal vaulting over a fat log and landing straight a few meters in front of him from the darkness out of his range of sight. The creature growled from deep in its throat, baring its fangs. Eyes fixed on John. John's body went cold and senseless. The rush of terror that he felt canceled out his concentration on the reality. When the feeling sank in, John could salvage some meaning from something that was just plain terror. And sure enough.......... it was the queen of the forest.....The Tiger!!!

Chapter 1 The Dispatch

Why can't I feel anything?
The last thing I remember is the sensation of being impaled.
Where am I?
Now that I come to think of it, who am I exactly? No, what am I?
Why is darkness surrounding me?

As these questions kept on popping up in his mind, Aven, drowned into a sea of darkness in his consciousness.

****************************************************************************

9:43 am, Sunday, 3015.

'You ready?'

'Of course I am, I am the one who devised this plan after all.'

'Did you create the substitute?'

'I did, but are you sure you killed them all?'

'Yeah, I'm sure. Now the General should dispatch a squad to investigate. If all goes well,  Captain Walter is probably gonna show up.'

'Good.'

'Come here, after 5 more hours or so.'

'You can count on me.'

Saying this, their paths separated, literally.

-----------------------------------------------------

1:37 pm, Sunday, 3015.

'Yo Aven! What's up?' Louis stopped him as he was cantering through the busy streets.

Aven dashed to a stop. He bent down his knees to take a breath.

'The sky is up, what else is?' Aven looked up to reply.

'Usual Aven.' Louis muttered under his breath at once as if he was expecting that answer.

Louis was one of his childhood friends. He had a cheerful personality which happened to irritate Aven.  But nevertheless he is useful sometimes. He is always known to Aven as his 'rival' or something of that sort.

'Oh, yeah are going anywhere? If not, then -' Louis was stopped short by Aven.

Aven had already reckoned where this conversation was leading to. I'm sure now he's gonna ask me to hang over at his place. I better make my move quick or else.

'Sorry Louis, but I just got an urgent call from my Captain. I must hurry, or you know.... how Captain Walter is like.' Aven finished, inspecting Louis face, awaiting for any sign of giving up.

'Oh, now that I think about you became a Second Lieutenant, so did I!' Louis exclaimed, looking at his face, waiting for him to be surprised.

The sun was shining incessantly onto the crowded streets. The rushing people, from an aerial view, looked exactly like ants interweaving in each others paths, and bumping into each other slightly. Not a single person gave notice to them as they were standing on the middle of the streets, which looked odd among the 'ants'.

'What the-! When did you become a Second Lieutenant?' Aven looked at him, perplexed.

'Okay, let me see...' Louis started to say playfully enjoying the sudden expression on Aven's face, 'I guess after the second last mission.'

'And you didn't tell me anything about that? And there I went thinking that I finally surpassed you.' Aven finished that last part with a sigh.

'What are you talking about? You can't surpass me just by being raised to a higher position!'

All of a sudden Louis expression turned grave. 'You have to remember we are not the same species.'

He was right, he was a Reavein and Aven a human. In that world that was not such a bad thing for a human to be friends with a Reavein, in fact they already have joined forces to form an alliance.

'Anyways,' Aven wanted to end the conversation quick, ' I've to go! Bye!' Saying this he ran away from him at full speed even before Louis could reply back

Why does he have to be so impolite? Louis thought as he started to run towards the main entrance to meet up with his squad.

                                                         ***

Ten minutes later.

Dammit! I'm late. Aven glanced at his watch. He was fifteen minutes late. Well, it was not exactly Louis's fault, fully. According to him, he would still be 5 minutes late, if he hadn't come across Louis on the way.

After a moment's running a two story building rose up in front of Aven. He stopped in front of the building. The walls were all damp and weeds were growing on. The whole concrete building kind of looked worn out. No one even have bothered to dust the walls or something like that for ages.

I wonder why Captain lives in this worn out building. Is he suffering from financial problems or does he like to live here? Aven thought as he headed towards the door.

The most weirdest thing about the building was that, even though it looked worn out and all, there was a computer based lock system there.

How did they set up the wires anyways? Don't they short - circuit because of the wall's dampness? Aven thought, as he fiercely kept on hitting several buttons simultaneously. The fingers kept on doing its work for more than one whole minute or so.

After a while he started to turn out cold. Well, now comes the difficult part.

Right after he hit the last three buttons at once, he jumped right in through the open door into a cold dark room. The door snapped shut behind him. As soon as the heart beating event was over he sat down on the freezing cold concrete floor to catch some breath. He thought of the dreadful incident that would happen if he was caught between the closing doors, he just didn't want to picture that. Why do they have to set up these kind of locks anyway? Don't they know that it's too risky?

Aven started to squint through the dark room, it was kinda tough for him, but after a moment he gave up.

'WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG?! Come up, quick!' A voice boomed from upstairs.

Aven jerked up and squinted up to see his Captain standing in front of the door that lead upstairs. ' Yes sir!' Saying this he started running towards his captain.

'Would you mind answering my question?' The captain asked in an irritated way as Aven reached the top.

Aven entered to see his squad member - First Lieutenant Erick. 'Uh, sir, I just happened to meet Second Lieutenant Louis from the Reavein Division.' He said turning to Walter.

Erick was another one of those Aven's childhood friends, and they both grew up together. They truly, unlike Louis, had the exact same personality, which is that they were both unenthusiastic about almost everything, although the main difference among those two was that, Erick was always better in studies and handling weapons than Aven. Aven as you could say, a person who truly hates physical activities.

'That excuse isn't good enough. Anyways,' Captain Walter started to change the topic, as he did this he took a quick glance at his watch, ' I hope you two already know why I've called you here. It's about the case that just recently came up. You know that 4 days ago the general sent a group of investigators to search and investigate the Rayvengers' base. Already -' Walter was stopped short by Aven.

'Sir, sorry to interrupt, but why did they send investigators to search for the Rayvengers' base? I thought Rayvengers disappeared long time ago.' Aven asked softly afraid of being shouted at.

Walter's countenance turned shocked, 'What the-! What are you? Don't you ever touch the newspaper or watch the news broadcasted in a electronic box called Television or TV for short!' Walter just completely lost it, his temper that is.

'Uh, sorry sir. But still..' Aven said slowly partially realizing his mistake, but his curiosity overcame his fear to ask again. And even though, he couldn't care less to touch the newspaper, because he seriously hated reading paragraphs with difficult words in it.

Walter started to calm down from his quick rush of temper, 'I never had the intention of not telling you anyways. For starters you should know that there are two cities in this kingdom of ours. Ours is called Trigordy.' There was a moment's silence then Walter started to laugh after saying that.

'Sir, stop joking. I knew that. I'm not that uninformed.' Aven, embarrassed, said looking at Erick's laughing face.

Walter finally recovered from the laugh, 'Anyways, the other city, Elitrina, just got attacked several days ago. The people identified the attackers as Rayvengers. They happened to kidnap over hundred of children of the age of 6 from that city. They also happened to slaughter many, but no children were found dead, most of them were gone missing. The city however managed to capture one Rayvenger. As soon as he was interrogated, even before they could split anything out from him, he just committed suicide. So as you can understand their city is currently defenseless since that last assault. So our city took the responsibility of dispatching investigators to search for their base. And just this morning we totally lost contact with that group. Our current assumption is that they are either severely injured or they are dead.'

'So sir, are we the only group being dispatched?' Erick said dully, not showing much curiosity.

'No, a squad from the Reavein branch(the Reavein branch is from Elitrina) has already been dispatched, thirty minutes ago or so,' Walter checked his watch, then continued,' However the captain of that squad(Haymes) is currently on a different mission, so they put the First lieutenant of that squad's temporary captain.'

'Okay before we begin the mission it's better to know the teammates of that squad, just to be on the safe side... Here are the names: (Temporary) Captain Kelvin and Second Lieutenant Louis.' Walter repeated from what was written on a scrip of paper.

He even has to see a script of paper to read only those two names? Thought Aven, holding his laughter inside. It was no big deal if a captain saw a piece of paper to read out two mere names, but Aven emphasized the situation as he wanted to repay Walter for embarrassing him.

'Louis?' Aven emerged out of his thoughts. But, he never mentioned he was dispatched on a mission as same as ours. Hang on, that means that he wasn't going ask me to hang out at his house? Then what was he going to ask? Aven didin't know the answer to that.

'Okay! Enough talk! Move out! Move out!' Walter signaled them,  totally ignoring Aven's question of surprise.

As Walter rushed out the two followed him out, but they had no way of knowing that they were just getting lured into the enemy's trap.

Preview of the Next Coming Chapter:

As Walter's squad head to rendezvous with the other squad, Kelvin and Louis is confronted by a mysterious Rayvenger. The Rayvenger overwhelms them, regardless of the number. Louis' team calls for help, but will the reinforcements arrive in time? Or will the latency of the reinforcements lead them to be walking on their companions' dead bodies and the crimson flooded horizon?

About the New Dawn Series

As you know, our blog is gonna launch a brand new series, a weekly publishment, going as 'The New Dawn'.

Genres: Fantasy, Supernatural, Magic, Action, Adventure, Drama, Military.

Rating - 11+ (Violence and Profanity)

It is a fantasy series, densely action-packed thriller, I have to admit it's a bit gory and there is some blood violence. The story line is quite similar to something. You will soon notice what element it's similar to.

It starts with the history of Reaveins and how they were born. The protagonist, Aven Clerkson, starts out as a normal soldier. Well, that's what he thinks. But as the story progresses, his deep secrets get uncovered. His involvements in the dark times also get unraveled to him.

The credits for writing this series goes to Shafin Barshan and Redwan Islam(unfortunately he is not a member of this blog).  Normally Redwan was the one who came up with names of the swords and the ideas of the masks that most of the Rayvengers wear. And Shafin Barshan produced the plot and the character personalities and actions.

The prologue is quite big and the language is quite childish. The actions scenes are tended to be improved in the future chapters.

The prologue is gonna launch soon(today of course!).

Day 2: The End

Day 2: The End

"I'll give you the keys tonight!", Jack shouts from the back alley.
"Yeah no problem, but contact Mr. David for the registration papers!", replies John.
John was very happy that gloomy evening......his dream was finally coming true! A fancy and big coffee house managed by he and his friends in the city of love, Paris.
He walks home from their newly built food joint. He built it in such a place that the customers could see The Eiffel Tower sitting. He had invited Jack to his home that night to celebrate. He reached home and sat down and started working on the management and the inner design of their shop, on his computer. Then finishing his work he merrily organised the table. "Hey John.........what's burning bro?", Jack questioned him when he got the smell of something burning. "Oh my I almost forgot about the steak!!!!!!" John shouted while he ran towards the kitchen. They sat down to eat and discussed about the menu of their restaurant. "There's gonna be barbecue, tacos, pizzas ,burgers , sub sandwiches, and most important.......cofeeeee and lots more!" said Jack. " By the way ....... have we even chose a name???!!!" John exclaims.
"Oh nice! I forgot about that!.......how about 'The twin J's'?"
Jack hesitated for while at John's guess, then snapped out of it exclaiming:
"The Twin J's it is!"
The two chatted on as the night slipped onward.

The next day they arranged the name board which was very elegant indeed.
The next few days went on with extreme stress for the two.
Then finally came the opening day. The boys dressed their best and arranged a beautiful decoration for the entire street, musicians, one puppet show and they them selves did the service!
There were tons of customers.....loving the food, the presentation and all.
This is a perfect day one!!" Jack silently said to himself.
The boys went home happily and slept after doing all the kitchen work back at the shop.

The next day, John woke up early, took a shower, had his breakfast and dressed himself. He took the keys, his cell phone, the newly printed menu sheets he prepped last night and finally his helmet. The shop wasn't too far from his home. He motored his way down the street and......suddenly as he caught a glimpse of the shop......he rushed forward to it throwing his helmet off, and running like he has never before......not in happiness, in extreme horrification He was totally heartbroken when he saw his dream......shattered to pieces by a bulldozer. He was left speechless. A tear dropped down his dry cheek. He didn't want to know why his shop was being demolished, he was totally drowning in astonishment, pushed away from his senses. Jack arrived shortly after .Now 100 times more restless than John screaming at the assistants to the bulldozer at the highest pitch of sound." WHAT IS HAPPENING!!!!!!!!!!!WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS!!! WHAT HAPPENED!!!!!!!" But their answer was simple." I'm sorry, you don't have authorization to put up a shop without registration."
John was totally surprised by his words. He shouted again and again at the guy and finally went to Jack who was on his knees......left speechless, explaining that he did give the registry papers to the landowner, Mr. David. The whole day went in extreme sorrow and extreme anxiousness. Then Jack finally called Mr. David about this...........HE WASN'T RECEIVING HIS PHONE!
He tried him a hundred times but....there was no reply.....
Jack went to David's home only to find out that he had left the apartment.
"THAT-! YOU RUINED MY FRIENDS LIFE AND MINE TOO!!!!!I'M GOING TO HUNT YOU DOWN AND RUIN YOU TOO!!!! JUST WAIT!!" Jack threatened in extreme anger, choking. Determining with John, to make him suffer........no matter what it takes.....
